The Business

How Teed Up makes money.

A clear, four-part model. Clubs pay for the platform, players upgrade for more, one-off events open the door, and partners round it out — with the easiest yes always free or cheap to start.

The model

Four revenue streams — one of them recurring.

Built so the people who get the most value are the ones who pay, and so the front door — a single club, a casual player — is always free or cheap to start.
Clubs & courses Primary · recurring

Annual subscription

A recurring SaaS plan, tiered by club size — the backbone of the business. Priced to undercut the incumbents so a single club can say yes without a procurement fight.

Players Expansion

Free core, premium upgrade

Every player starts free. Power users, organizers, and serious groups upgrade for deeper games, league tools, and saved history — and bring Teed Up to their clubs.

One-off events On-ramp

Per-event pricing

À la carte for a single tournament or outing, for clubs that aren't ready for an annual plan — a low-friction way in that converts to subscriptions.

Partners Additive

Sponsorships & integrations

Tasteful brand sponsors, course partners, and on-course apps that feed into Teed Up — additive revenue that never gets in the player's way.

Accessible by design

Priced so the single clubs the incumbents overcharge can finally say yes — and free for players to start. The cheapest, easiest option is always the front door.

Why it compounds

Land with clubs. Expand to players.

Club subscriptions are the recurring floor. A free player core turns every casual round into a front door — players bring Teed Up to their clubs, clubs bring their players in, and premium, events, and partners expand each account from there.

What we don't monetize

Two lines we won't cross.

Discipline is part of the model — and both of these keep Teed Up neutral, trustworthy, and easy to adopt.

  • No real-money settlement

Games are tracked as points, never dollars — so there's no wagering, no payouts, and no cut of anyone's bets. It sidesteps gambling and payments complexity entirely.

  • No pay-to-win data lock-in

We don't hold a club's results or a player's history hostage behind a fee. The platform earns by being the easiest yes — not by trapping the people on it.

Let's talk

We're building this in the open — come help shape it.

If you run a club, organize events, build an on-course app, or just play and care about this game, your input shapes where Teed Up goes next. Tell us what's right, what's wrong, and what you'd need to say yes.
